Mould, mildew, algae, paint, mortar and even oil stains can often be removed. I will advise on individual stains as age and the porosity of the material can have an affect.

Cleaning your paving is refurbishing it; using specialised high pressure water cleaning equipment designed to undertake this process thoroughly and efficiently without causing the damage associated with conventional jet washing. Using a rotary head cleaner if often the best and safest way forward, sometimes it’s with cold water sometimes hot, much depends on the type of contamation that needs to be removed.

Once clean we can re-sand the joints in your block paving or concrete slabs, using kiln dry sand. If you wish to keep your block paving, patterned imprinted concrete or slabs looking clean and weed free for longer, as well as preserving its overall ‘life’, then we can also seal the surface with a sealant.

I use one of two sealers or an anti-algae spray most of the time for drives, patios, block paving etc.

• The first will leave a slight sheen & tends to slightly darken the most surfaces.
• The second “Nu-Cryl W.R.S. Extra” will not alter the appearance so much; it also will give a longer protection in areas that are subjected to heavy wear & staining such as pedestrian areas, car parks & fast food outlets.
• Or the whole area can be sprayed with Malcleanse Algae (Byotrol) Control  - Byotrol is DEFRA approved - to prevent algae, moss & fungi from re-growing; this can last effective for two-three years.

Acrylic based solution designed to help protect blocks, patios & sand joints from water penetration, oil & grease spillages & dirt, grime build up.

Will enhance colour and help extend life of block paving driveways, paths & patios.
The product is a milky white liquid, but dries clear upon application.

Will tend to darken most masonry surfaces and sometimes leave a slight sheen. (some call this a “wet-look” with a slight matt / gloss finish.)

Any surface that has been pre-treated with another sealer, particularly one which is silicone based, then this product may not properly adhere to the surface.

NU-CRYL® W.R.S. Extra

Nu-Cryl W.R.S. Extra is a unique acrylic oil and water repellent treatment.

ADVANTAGES: Due to its excellent water repellent qualities, reduces penetration of oil and water, frost damage and organic growth. Stain and dirt resistant. Non-stick and allows easy chewing gum removal. Conforms to BS 6477:1992.

Will not affect the original colour of the substrate.
Highly resistant to weathering and UV exposure.
Moisture vapour permeable.
Non-glossy appearance.
Unaffected by freeze/thaw cycles.

For use on brickwork, concrete, natural stone, reconstructed stone and blockwork, granite, marble and terrazzo. May also be used on wood.

For dense surfaces subject to heavy wear such as pedestrian areas.

COLOUR RANGE: Clear, invisible. – Does not adversely affect the appearance of the substrate.
